My father had a plaque on his desk when I was growing up that read “If you can’t dazzle them with brilliance, baffle them with bullshit!”

That idea always made me smile, but not anymore.  Politicians from across the political spectrum have turned that joke into their go to strategy – with the media either complicit and/or unwilling to do anything about it.  That’s why mainstream citizens need to step up.  Ultimately, we’re the only ones who can take on this madness.  I know, we’re all too busy with family and work, but that’s where Big Tent Nation comes in.  We’re dedicated to making it much easier to get informed and be heard.  We’re ordinary Americans like you who have had it with the BS.  We’re not beholden to any political party or special interest group.  We also don’t pretend to have the “answers” – we’re just trying to understand what’s gone wrong and how we can help make things better.  We’d love to have you join us on this learning adventure.  What’s our role in this process? We’re going to share the most intriguing ideas we can find about prosperity and the American Dream and invite you to check them out, share your favorites and draw your own conclusions.  No matter what anyone says, we’re in this mess together and need to roll up our sleeves to dig out.  We think that respectfully exploring the best ideas from right, left and center is an essential step in getting this nation on the right path again!
