National Week of Conversation, April 20-28

Big Tent is proud to be part of the planning committee for the National Week of Conversation, a week of events promoting respectful dialogue on America’s hottest political issues.

Alongside our friends from the National Institute for Civil Discourse, the Bridge Alliance, Living Room Conversations, AllSides, and National Coalition for Dialogue and Deliberation, and Listen First, we’ve signed on to this important effort to increase civility and understanding. Although it can seem like our country is hopelessly divided, we know from our Beyond Our Differences contest that we actually have a lot in common - and what unites us is more important than what divides us. That’s why the National Week of Conversation’s mission is to help people “Listen First.” Every American that is able to listen first to differing opinions helps tips the scales toward a better future for our nation.

Join us at the Boston Public Library to see the process in action! Big Tent Nation is proud to be a sponsor and supporter of this exciting local event. We’d love to see you there! If you’re not in the Boston area, there are also events happening around the country and online.

Be sure to follow along with the fast-approaching events on social media using #NWOC and #ListenFirst.
