Announcing The Civvys Finalists and Honorable Mentions

The Bridge Alliance, Big Tent Nation and the National Conference on Citizenship, leaders in the civic renewal movement, announced 18 finalists and 28 honorable mentions for the fourth annual American Civic Collaboration Awards, or “Civvys."

More than ever, in a moment when democracy and community  - the fabric of our nation - are stretching at the seams, we look to initiatives like these to work across divides and lead the way in building a stronger, fairer America.

From a record number of inspiring nominees, and a substantial set of honorable mentions paving the path forward, this year's Civvys finalists represent the most collaborative, highest impact and most scalable initiatives from 2020.

Their work runs the gamut from new voter registration and education, to STEM education that feeds communities, to local civic commons and election innovations, to workforce development for underserved communities, to support for corporations ready to civically engage, to media projects highlighting our common ground, and many more. This year, in addition to collaboration, impact and scalability, award criteria included an emphasis on building a more diverse and equitable nation.
